Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.®, the first African American collegiate Greek-letter organization, establishes a historic partnership with a tech-based cancer nonprofit, Ora Lee Smith Cancer Research Foundation, to raise cancer awareness and save lives.

“Everyone has a loved one, or knows someone, fighting this disease. Too many have been impacted and too many lives lost, but this is an opportunity to change that outcome. The more than 200,000 members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.® are honored to be the first Greek-Letter organization to join forces with the Ora Lee Smith Cancer Research Foundation in this fight to save lives,” said Dr. Everett Ward, 35th President of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.®

“I thank Dr. Ward and the members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.® for joining our efforts. It takes a lot of courage to be the first and take action on a vision, to go beyond hope. This is a testament to their leadership and commitment to our families, our community, and our future.” said Green.
